Gems of Truth

Trials are real and we do not always know their purpose or when they will pass. But as in Joseph's case, the LORD knows where you are and some day your time will come and the trial will pass.
And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. That is grace added to grace already given.
The Disciples had already made the Discovery of Eternal Life. Now they must discover Real Spiritual Food. In doing the Will of God, you received Spiritual Nourishment, "Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work." The Same is presented to us: To know that Christ is our Saviour and then to discover real spiritual food as you yield all to Him.
Because of His love for you, and His desire for you to be saved; He will do all that is possible to convince you to believe Him. But in the end, it is you that must believe Him.
Heaven has been opened for all mankind by the Suffering Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. His suffering cannot be fully articulated by human tongue and that suffering ended on the cross when He cried, "It is finished".
The day of Christ's death on the cross is a real day; it did happen! You can make today real in your life! A day when the record is made in heaven of your believing on Christ for eternal life.
Eternal life is believing that Jesus is the Christ, The Son of God that should come into the World; who died on the cross bearing your sins as the scriptures hath said.
The treasures on earth are not the earth itself but rather the things you value and store up for yourself. Treasures in heaven are not heaven itself but the eternal things you value and store up in heaven (your works you do for Christ) and that is your inheritance that is reserved for you!
Jesus is giving an illustration that sin in the life of a Christian will keep you from having a part with Christ. Sin breaks the fellowship - separates you from the power of Christ - renders you useless in completing your assignment for Him
"But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. ..... Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss..." Paul saw a preciousness in the love of Christ that so motivated him to count all thing but loss that he might suffer for Christ. Paul is saying, "that I might be fully consumed in Christ's love for me".
In Christ dying on the cross, He died for all the world and thus His death counted as your death which death is demanded as payment for your sin.
