1Jn 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: What this verse excludes is worth noting: It says nothing about inviting Christ into your heart! This name: Acts 4:12" Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved". There is no difference in believing that Jesus is the Christ and believing in Him. What must you believe to have Eternal Life? The answer is clearly seen in John 11: 25 -27 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:" John 11:26 " And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?" John 11:27 She saith unto him," Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world". Jesus presented it to Martha: Do you believe in me for Eternal Life? Martha answered Him: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
She believed that the Father sent the Son to give eternal life to anyone who will believe that He sent His Son.

He is there for any person regardless of their spiritual condition. One day He stood amid the Pharisees and defended the woman who they said committed adultery, "…..Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Many years ago, I preached a sermon, "Five Words that got her in, Neither do I condemn thee" He was not sent to condemn but to save, John 3:17-18;

It is how Christ died for our sins that I want us to meditate thereon, the record of His death as given in the scriptures. "how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;"
