I remember getting the call to come home  Dad had gotten worse and we were there in the bedroom as Dad said, I want to go home and he turned his head and looked out the north window toward the barn and Mother said, you are already home. And he said, " no I want to go home".  I was looking at his hand.  I knew what he meant when he said I want to go home!  I knew what he was looking for out the window.  He was looking for Home. He had Mother's finger between his thumb and index finger and he squeezed her finger with his thumb and he went home.
1Jn 3:9  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.   What is that seed that remains?  It is something implanted by God. James 1: Jas 1:18  Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.  Jas 1:21  Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.   I think that is more than His Word that has been implanted in you.  It is something He gave you, Eternal Life and He is the Eternal One. So to speak, that seed is His Divine Gift, Born from above a new life, His Life, implanted in you.  That new life does not sin. It cannot.  Sin comes from the flesh it is your spirit that is born again by His Spirit.
Someone said to me after I was saved, "did you believe on Him for Eternal Life".  I was thinking at that time what else would you believe on Him for if you were wanting to be saved. But my answer to him was no. Here is where I was at the time I was saved:  I wanted to know I was saved and here is the understanding The LORD gave me from His Word:  He saved me at the Cross more than two thousand years ago and God was not asking me to do anything but believe on Him whom He had sent,  1Jn 5:10  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.  Christ promised me everlasting life, Joh 6:47  Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.  I believe He took away my sin and sins as the Lamb of God
Other reasons to believe it refers to the First Day of the Week  1.  The character of the vision !:12-20  Christ is glorified in the midst of the churches. I don't believe this refers to the period of coming judgment spoken of as the day of the Lord. Too early in the book to refer to coming judgment  2. The message is addressed to the church age, 1:19   Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter. 3.  Because of sentence construction:  The Lord's day same as The Lord's supper (shows ownership 1 Cor. 11:20).
God has so blessed us with His Grace, For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  What did our Saviour do for us? 1Peter 2:24  Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.  This body that was prepared by the Father, the Virgin birth, the incarnation of God, the sinless Son of Man was beaten beyond recognition and nailed to The Cross bore our sin in His body.  And the taunts from the unbelieving world were to save yourself and come down from the Cross. If He had come down to save Himself we would have been lost forever.
How long is a generation? Psa_90:10  The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. I believe this close to the Biblical time for a generation.  It could be less or more.  My point is it is close even at the door.  It is in the Father's hands and not in the events that are taking place even though they are signs of the times
I want to focus on things Jesus said after His Resurrection.  I chose five [5] because that is the number of Grace. His entrance into Heaven brought manifold blessing to us. We do have a Living Saviour with treasures that Paul called," The Unsearchable Riches of Christ" [Eph.3:8].  It is like we have a check drawn on the Bank account of Christ that can only be cashed by Faith in Him and Prayer.  I desire that in this message we discover the Riches of our Living Saviour.
. Our greatest failure is indifference to God. (Eph. 4:17–19 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Eph 4:18  Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: Eph 4:19  Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. ). The great hallmark of worldliness is not so much its sinfulness, but rather its indifference to God.
I want to go first to Revelation Chapter 12.  Probably a parenthetical and not chronological section. The Woman is the nation of Israel and is symbolic of the birth of Christ.  Just as a woman feels birth pains so did the nation of Israel in preparation for the first Advent of Christ as Israel was in travail at the time of Christ's first coming. A cause of these pains is the persecution of the nation by satan attempting to stop the birth of Christ and destroy these people of God.
The only reliable evidence that you have saving faith is that you right now are believing in Jesus Christ for eternal life.  Eternal life is at the point of believing because it is the Gift of God to you.  John 3: 3 through 3:21 is the sermon that Jesus preached to Nicodemus. Those verses are the very words of Christ except where Nicodemus asks questions. In John 3:16 Jesus was speaking of himself as being the Son of God, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. So, God gave Jesus for us but He gave Jesus to Himself because Jesus is the sin-bearer of our sin.  Jesus is the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the World. For Jesus is God's sacrifice for sin, all sin for all time,  once for all. 1Jn 4:10  Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation [to be the satisfaction] for our sins.
