No other message has this power [dunamis from which we get our word dynamite] Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power [dynamite]of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Rom 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. 1 Cor. 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power [ that word "dynamite" = For many years Dr. Lee Roberson of Highland Park Baptist had a Radio Broadcast: "Gospel Dynamite" and always open with Romans 1:16. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; …."
Forgiveness has been granted on the account of His name. Because He himself is the Propitiation for our sins, "And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.": "For His name sake" Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Believing in Jesus and believing in His name are synonymous.
The one and only condition to be eternally saved is to believe. To believe means to be persuaded that something is true. If you believe the saving message is true, then you are saved. There is nothing more for you to do. "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life,". Joh 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
The focus now is Jesus after the Cross, but the promise is still the same. The guarantee is to the believer, Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
He established a fellowship with us the believer that is to be carried out until He returns, 1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

Have you laid hold on Jesus? How? By simple faith in Him. May I ask you a question? Do you believe Jesus was telling you the truth when He made this claim? I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead,[even if you die physically] yet shall he live: [forever]
Joh 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. [shall never experience the spiritual death = second death] Believest thou this? [Do you believe I am telling you the truth?]

1 John 2:3 is not talking about saving knowledge of Christ but a fellowship knowledge. Just as a claim of fellowship with Him is false if we walk in darkness, 1:8, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. The same is true here: a disobedient life says we cannot claim an intimate knowledge of Him.
[cf. Jonah 3:10; 2 Peter 3:10-12 speaking of physical death -They were not given eternal life! Nineveh was spared from the physical destruction. See Jonah 3:5 So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.] What was the message that Jonah preached? Answer: That God was going to overthrow the city in forty days. [Cf. Jonah 1:2 "ââ'¬Â¦ for their wickedness has come up before me."
God cannot look beyond our sin. He accepted in place of our sin the Substitutionary payment of Jesus death with His blood in place of our death. Jesus took God's wrath in our place: This is our propitiation.
From the very beginning, there has been only One Way of Salvation. The Old Testament does not present another way. Nor does it present the Law as a means for obtaining Eternal Life.
Assurance of forgiveness is the longing of the heart. Can I be forgiven? Am I forgiven? These questions and similar questions plague the mind of saint and sinner alike. The LORD does give assurance. In our passage of Scripture, the offer of forgiveness is made to the saved and the unsaved. The offer of Total Forgiveness is made to all through Jesus Christ, Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Have you believed in Jesus for "The Life" that He promised the believer? Joh 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
