Time is that which travels between the eternities, [eternity pasted and eternity future]. And we each have cut out for us our lifetime, which is from birth to death. One of the greatest events of time is the union of God and man that is called the Hypostatic Union. This miracle of the incarnation, God became man approximately 2, 000 years ago. This incarnation is through God the Son becoming man. “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” And that is the great event we celebrate at Christmas.
So that baby lying in this manger, a feeding trough is the God Man. The Son of God, taking upon Himself the form of man and was named “Jesus”. Joseph at the direction of the angel of the Lord named Him “Jesus”, Mat 1:24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: Mat 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. He is also called Emmanuel “….. and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us”
Jesus Christ is One Person fully God and fully Man. The Son of God has always been. At the conception He took upon Himself the form of man, Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. Luk 1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: Luk 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luk 1:34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
I do not know how He did it but He did it. And my faith is anchored in Him, For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37
It could have been like this: [[1]Under normal circumstances all human beings have 46 chromosomes…. 23 from their mother and 23 from their father. 22 pairs of autosomes determine things such as our height, hair, and eye color, etc. The 23rd pair is the sex determinant pair. They consist of either “X” or “Y” chromosomes. The mother only has “X” chromosomes. The father has both “X” and “Y” chromosomes.
If the sex-determinant pair is matched “X-X”, the child is a female. If “X-Y”, the child is a male. Thus we see that the single chromosome provided by the father in this chromosome pair determines the gender of the child. {When the blood sample Ron Wyatt took from the crack in the rock ceiling above the Mercy Seat was tested, it contained 24 chromosomes…. 23 from the mother and one “Y” chromosome from the father, 24 chromosomes.}
As Dr. Eugene Dunkley states in his article on the genetics of the blood of Christ, 24 chromosomes are exactly what would be expected if a man was born of a virgin. There are 23 chromosomes from the mother and a “Y” chromosome from the father. But that father cannot be a human father because the other 22 chromosomes on the father’s side are missing. Therefore the existence of a “Y” chromosome is a miracle.]
But that never answer my understanding in how Mary being of one of the fallen race, Romans 5:12 how her 23 chromosomes are kept from the baby. So the answer is always given is that the sin nature is passed by the man. That is true and that nature passed to Mary by her Mother and Father. All that has been born of the human race must be born again because all have sinned. Now Mary was a righteous person in her life and Joseph knew that. But she still had the sin nature.
How ever this was done, it was done by the LORD, Luk 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
It could have been like this: God the Father could have taken an embryo {we already know He bypassed man} and bypassed the need of an egg and placed an embryo as seen at the moment of conception in Mary. Psalm 139:13-16 is a description of the significant thought and care in the creation of a life. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Through the years the billions of people who have ever lived uttered praise for their creation. Would the miracle of the conception and the preparing of the body made for Jesus be any less magnificent? “ I will praise thee for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”
“Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect” {not imperfect] unperfect = unfinished substance: Maybe that is the embryo conceived by Mary neither from her egg or the sperm of man, but the Seed planted in her body by God Himself. The birth of Christ was natural and normal in every way, including the full period of human gestation in the womb of Mary. The miracle was not His birth, but His Conception. “Therefore, even though He was nurtured in Mary's womb for nine months and born without her ever knowing a man, it was also necessary for all this to have been preceded by supernatural intervention, to prevent His receiving any actual genetic inheritance through her. The body growing in Mary's womb must have been specially created in full perfection, and placed there by the Holy Spirit, for it to be free of inherent sin damage. Christ would still be "made of the seed of David according to the flesh" (Romans 1:3) because His body was nurtured and born of Mary, who was herself of the seed of David. He would still be the Son of Man, sharing all universal human experience from conception to death, except sin. He is truly "the seed of the woman" (Genesis 3:15), His body formed neither of the seed of the man nor the egg of the woman, but grown from a unique Seed planted in the woman's body by God Himself.”
Let me say again, I do not know how He did it but He did it. And my faith is anchored in Him, For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37.
But I know this: it is the Blood of this God Man, Jesus the Christ, that cleanses from sin. [ Verses about the blood: 1Co_10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?1Co_11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. Eph_1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Col_1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Col_1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.Heb_2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Col_1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Heb_9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Heb_9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Heb_10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, Heb_13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. 1Pe_1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 1Jn_1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. Rev_1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,Rev_5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;]
1Co_15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. “For as in Adam all die….,.” That is both physical and Spiritual and that is the message Jesus was preaching to Nicodemus in John 3:6 -8 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
“….even so in Christ shall all be made alive “….the last Adam was made a quickening spirit” John 1: 12 -13, But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
He had to be fully man and fully God to take away the Sin of the World. Only God could provide an acceptable sacrifice and this He did in the incarnation of The Son of God, Philippians 2:5-11, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
As the Lamb of God He had to be born of Woman, Gal 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To show the true humanity of Christ.
Exo 12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats: The sacrificial Lambs offered were taken from the sheep so must the Lamb of God be born of woman, which signifies the true humanity of Christ. Joh 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
John 3:13-16 shows the Son of Man and the Son of God to be as One, And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Jesus is God’s provided sacrifice for us. He required a sacrifice and He provided that sacrifice. So in essence He gave Jesus to Himself. Gen 22:7 And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood: but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together. And that is what He did in the promise of John 3:16, . For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Let me ask you today is your faith in Jesus Christ? Paul said, “I know in whom I have believed” - 2Ti_1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.,
Not to believe is not to be persuaded, Joh 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. --- That word believeth in last part of v36 and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. Means literally, refusing to be persuaded (by the Lord) See G543 (apeítheia).
“Belief is persuasion:” If you are persuaded that something is true, you believe it. Meaning you have confidence in whom you have believed, Paul said, “…for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him
Are you persuaded that Jesus is able to keep that which He promised? Are you persuaded that Jesus is telling the truth when He said, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. If you know that He is telling you the truth then you should be able to say, “I have confidence in whom I have believed and believe that He is able to keep that which He promised me.
May I ask you again? Is your faith in Jesus Christ? Acts 26:14-18 Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
He is made like unto His brethern, Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. Heb 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
I do not know how He did it but He did it. And my faith is anchored in Him, For with God nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37
